We are a f****** recycling agent!
We’re talking about ‘fashion’ – the other seven-letter word – that accounts for about 10% of global carbon emissions, is responsible for 20% of global wastewater, and generates 92 million tons of waste annually.
We get it. Buying new clothes or flaunting the latest trends is fun and exciting. And most options to recycle clothes and fabrics are either inconvenient, inaccessible, or just plain boring. On the flip side, there are many clean fashion labels that need the clothes you no longer want to create amazing eco-friendly products.
So, we decided to step in and take matters into our own hands to bridge these two worlds, and as a result, GoZeroC was born. It’s short for ‘Go Zero-Carbon’; just our very own way of saying ‘carbon neutral’.
GoZeroC aims to make recycling your old clothes effortlessly convenient, tangibly rewarding, and refreshingly fun – so you’ll want to do it again, and again, and again!
Our vision:
A world where sustainability practices are a default lifestyle
Sustainability needs to go beyond expert panel debates, UN climate conferences, and motivational posters, and become a part of people’s everyday routine and lifestyle, so that it no longer feels like a chore. With GoZeroC, we want to make living sustainably a practical reality.
Our mission:
Gamify the process and gratify actions that favour sustainability
Good behaviour and habits, when rewarded, tend to repeat themselves. Hence, our goal is to simplify cloth recycling submissions, let you earn GZC points for each item, and offer you access to discounted products from clean fashion brands. Track your submissions, points, and compete for badges and recognition on the leaderboard.
Our purpose:
Take the bore out of sustainability and recycling conversations
Why should food, electronics, and other exciting industries have all the fun? At GoZeroC, we aim to use wit, humor, and memes not just to express and engage, but also to raise important concerns in a way that resonates with you. So if you ever find us being boring, feel free to drop a comment and remind us to go put on our jester hat.
